Action of the Tiger

Action of the tiger

A poorly constructed tale about a french girl attempting to rescue her brother from political imprisonment in Albania. Directed by Terence Young, it promised superb outdoor filming in exotic locations all over Europe, unfortunately this was difficult to deliver. Starring Van Johnson and Martine Carol, with only a bit part for the up and coming Connery.

Sean plays Mike, first mate on the boat where Johnson lives and his scenes amount to little more than a token apppearence, aside from attemting to molest the leading lady, and spending most of his time drunk. Shot in Spain and released by MGM, Sean has visions of this film being a big success, however director Young had other ideas and gave Sean the now infamous quote "Keep on Swimming, just keep on at it and one day I'll make it up to you."
