A starry ensemble cast was enough to tempt Sean into this movie, in a fairly static situation - a train snowbound near Yugoslavia, were Ingred Bergman, John Gielgud, Anthony Perkins, Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall, Wendy Hiller, Vanessa Redgrave and Michael York. Sean starrred as Colonel Arbuthnot one of the murder suspects investigated by Agatha Christie's Poirot.
The film won six Oscar nominations including Best Actor--Albert Finney, Best (Adapted) Screenplay and Ingrid Bergman won for best supporting actress. The film took over $19m at the box office.
